Uganda Capital: Kampala

Population: 26,907,000
Languages: English, Ganda or Luganda: many local languages.
Religion: Roman Catholic, Protestant, Indigenous beliefs, Muslim.

Uganda is a landlocked country in East Africa.

The country achieved independence in 1962 after which time it prospered.
From 1971 until 1985 it was brutalized under the chaotic regimes of Idi Amin
and Milton Obote when as many as 800.000 Ugandans were murdered.
The rule of Yoweri Museveni since 1986 has brought relative stability

and economic growth.
